SSL or Secure Socket Layer provides a safe secure environment for customers using their credit cards online. An SSL Certificate assures customers of identity confirmation. SSL certificates also encrypts credit card data sent from one server to another.
For example when a customer uses a credit card to purchase a product from an online shop, web security is automatically provided between the two computers involved, that being the purchaser and the sellers computer/server. Any sensitive data is sent via encryption and only scrambled on reaching the destination. SSL Certificates ultimately create confidence and protection for consumers.
Why does it matter about an SSL?
An SSL cert is good for your business on line in a number of ways.
